Zynga + online gambling + mobile networking = good read
Interesting Article on the CAP blog about Zynga, its possible entrance into online gambling market, and mobile gambling. It really gets you thinking on how much of an impact this group have, and that what it is doing - is what we probably all aspire to do by attracting new players to our own sites.
If you have played any Zynga, you probably have heard of their games.. like farmville, zynga poker, mafia wars. Whats even more outstanding, is that my local 7/11 sells zynga credit for you to use in the games. It goes to show the reach they actually have.
The article covered a couple of topis which I hadn't considered - and I should've have.
So how can you compete against this? Or, how can you use the popularity of Zynga to your advantage as a mobile gaming affiliate?

For me, I think Zynga understand social networking and being able to leverage it. For small frys like me - I need to start thinking along the same lines, but in a more niche area. Maybe develop an application, which is niche, but wanted, and try and integrate it into mobile gaming, as well as social networking.
I do have an idea.. which I am working on to do just this, but the next stage is to moneytise it correctly so that it doesn't hurt my user base.
Thoughts? Experiences? Would love to hear what everyone else is thinking.Last edited by Rak; 08-16-2011 at 12:49 AM.
