Are You Making Money Through Adwords?

bingodude asked 3 years ago
Obv you do not have to say what keywords your are targeting on advertising on Adwords, people do not want more competition even though it looks like people are targeting a whole wide range which is great. That way we all benefit and we can help each other.

Back to the point – On adwords I was going to sign up but it would have cost me £1 a click, but you can not guarantee what conversion it would be. It could be 50 visitors = 1 sign up – £10 for a total of £50. £40 loss.

I take it you do CPA? That is hard to make profitable if you spend any money on ads.

You also have to count on your competitors clicking your ad maliciously, driving up your cost and pushing you out of the bidding.

The best way to go about it is to do rev share and to bid on many low ranking keywords.

Hey, I am new to all of this. I just looked at Adwords and found £1 to be pretty steep for the ROI.

I do not care who my competitors would be I would never go as low as clicking on their ads, that is taking it a little too far in my eyes.

I definitely agree, clicking your competitor’s paid ads is a rotten thing to do. Nevertheless, it has happened for the last 10 years and I doubt it will ever stop.

Yep. I’ve run a few campaigns on google adwords. All the time you notice on your google analystics the same people clicking daily. My guess would be competitors making the clicks. Either way it blows your budget.

I have and am making money on Adwords but it isn’t Adwords for the UK or for that matter for the English language – Its bloody hard work but it can be done long term especially on rev share over a period of time

In order to start advertising gambling related products you need to have a gambling license and get a special adwords account that is 100% dedicated to gambling.

I have set up an account with them and promote my gambling products. It works very well for certain niche keywords. It is all about trying it out finding the right angle to meet your ROI. But I agree that you need to be willing to spend some money before you will see a proper return. General gambling keywords like ‘roulette’ or ‘online casino’ can go up as far as Euro 18 per click.

Cheers

Surly Google would see the same IP address and not charge you for the clicks? Will they have nothing in place to spot things such as this?

You don’t need a license if you’re a portal.

Google and most other ppc networks do have click fraud prevention measures but if a competitor is determined and evil enough they can get round it unfortunately.
