Hello everyone, it seems like the forums dry up from time to time, just saying hello and hope everyone is enjoying the world cup, the football that is and the not the impact upon the gambling affiliates.

Ok then, i’m now 2 months into my affiliate career, very early days. The site, is slowly coming on, have lots of articles in ezine and am reaching the google pages for some pretty low key words, despite hard efforts, only have 120 links recorded in yahoo.

Was just after some self esteem injections, if i keep going for this, like putting my hours in each day and concentrating on each of my areas.

Will something happen, will someone finally reach my site, who wants to be there and most importanly, who will pay to be there.

Energy can not be destroyed, only transformed, therefore input must surely mean output.

Please pass advice, any of your early experiences would be very helpful right now.

Oh well, gin and tonic and some more writing.

    Peace guys

My Husband is in South Africa now and he is enjoying it a great deal.It took me 5 months to make my first $100 so don’t give up ,hard work will pay off . Posting in forums like this also will add to back links eventually ,slow and steady wins the race with link building.

Thank you for your words, i did realise this was a long road and its nice to hear the truth sometimes.

I must admit there was a time before i began any of this, website code, seo etc, that i thought money could be made over night.

I think when you’ve been working hard for months without any response, it takes a bit of effort to remind yourself of the future potential.

I dont know what my target is going to be, most affiliates say to have one, i currently work four hours a day part time, would one day be happy with the a holiday each year.

    Who knows after that.

What are the potential figures for a part timer, i know this is sensitive, just a ball park figure really

    May be $200.00 a month.

Most part time affiliates I know after a year to 18 months earn $1000 -$5000 a month. If you are putting in 20-30 hours a week i thing that is very reasonable goals.Pick your partners wisely though and know where your traffic is coming from.

Be persistant and don’t toss in the towel!! It is not easy to start an affiliate career and you have to be very patient for things to start rolling in. If you do all your homework, research and talk to others affiliates in the biz then your doing all the write things. I wish you luck! ;)

I’ll admit sometimes, i just cant be motivated, as for three months, not much progress so far.

But normally i’ll spend an hour link building, blogs , forums etc.

Spend an hour writing a decent article to e zine.

Add content to the the site.

Then i just mess around checking stats that never chance.

Is this going to work for me in the long run, not getting visitors yet, just bots i think.

    Thanks GUYS

    OK…..

So I checked out your website.

    1. Site looks ok however almost plain and ugly “Nothing Personal, just being honest”
    2. You need more unique content.
    3. You for sure need to invest some money in SEO, Buy some links etc for keywords your going for. Do not go for basic keyword searches like online casino or casino because It’s not going to help You unless You have $250,000 to spend on it :)
    4. More Unique Content

You will do fine if You follow these steps.

The keywords that i’m going for need nothing short of a few extra links, if you go for roulette bookies, how to win on fruit machines, beat online roulette, then my site covert casino is on page one.

I don’t why you think i’m going for online casino and things like that, seo does not need money, just a bit more time.

Is link buying not punished by google anymore then?

Link buying is frowned upon, but then the Google algorithm isn’t infallible. If you buy, buy sensibly. Check out the site, see how many outbound links it already has and who it’s linking too. Also run the copy through Google search to see if it’s been lifted/used before. These are all telltale signs for Google to pickup upon and classify it as a link seller. Your site will be tarred with the same brush if you’re receiving links from it, so definitely be careful.

Also, there are some good directories out there that, for a one off fee, will provide a quality back link indefinitely. See BOTW.org especially. There is of course the holy grail of DMOZ listing…

Finally, with links you got to remember quality over quantity. It’s worth hunting down that right partner rather than spamming people for links. Consider article based link purchases rather than uncontextual text links.

Good luck and stick it out – you’ll get there!

    All the best,

    Aaron
