Warning on bookmaker.com betmaker.com 2betdsi.com
I am posting this warning in regards to bookmaker.com and other sportsbooks owned by this company such as Diamond Sportsbooks (2betdsi.com) betmaker.com, and betcris.com
I promoted these sportsbooks for over 6 years. I was away in Australia for 2 months so never bothered checking my stats. When I eventually tried I could not login, I figured the website was having issues so gave it a week, still nothing. I emailed the affiliate manager at bookmaker and received this reply:
'Your affiliate account had a high amount of player charge backs. The account was in the negative a little over $100,000 because of those charge backs. I tried to contact you many months ago via this email address and the phone number on file. I looked at the website and saw that it was closed. After several months of inactivity we closed the affiliate account.
Best regards,
Scott '
First off I have over 50 sports betting websites that was sending them traffic. There is no way the accounts were 'inactive'. Some months have less traffic than others which is seasonal but there would always have been traffic. Even if this was the case would not all NFL websites have several months of inactivity?
Secondly, All my websites are SEO traffic. It's funny that all of a sudden my traffic would be considered fraudulently high in chargebacks. This is the same traffic that I have been sending betus, and bodog, and my traffic there seems to be fine.
Third, apparently they looked at the website I had on file and it was closed. I cant report if this is the case or not as I cannot login to my affiliate panel, but all they had to do was look at the reports to see that I am still sending traffic from many websites. The closed website could be possible as sometimes I allow unproductive websites to collapse. Even if they could not verify that I am sending traffic because the backend does not allow this, they should be able to verify that I was still sending them active players.
Third, I am in the negative 100k, if this is the case why not allow the account to stay open as I had thousands of players that could have quickly turned this negative into a positive.
Fourth, I was away so it is quite possible they phoned me. But when I came home there was no message on my answering machine or cell phone. Furthermore, I received no emails, emails I always make sure to check on a regular basis. The longest I went without checking emails was a week, regardless there was none.
Basically the response is junk and is an excuse to quit paying commission on thousands of players that I have sent to 3 of the sportsbooks that they operate. They noticed my traffic was reduced lately due to lost search engine rankings and they decided to take advantage of this. Basically the idea is that it's worth it to avoid paying me on old players versus the gain from new players.
But the fact of the matter is even if all my websites had vanished overnight and I 100% quit sending them traffic (which was not the case) they should have still left my accounts opened and paid the commissions that were due.
I highly recommend that no one promotes any of these bookies. If you want good replacement sportsbooks I recommend betus.com or bodog.com
I figure everyone should be adequately warned regarding this. If they stole my affiliate commissions after promoting them for this long then everyone is fair game. These sportsbooks are not affiliate friendly.
I have no idea how much money they owed in unpaid commissions when the accounts were closed, I am sure I will lose tens of thousands over time. At least I am in a position to recover from this loss, but for most affiliates this might not be the case. These are rogue operators and should be treated as such.
Please if you are currently promoting them, be pro-active and remove them from websites save yourself the grief. -

The funny thing about bookmakers is a lot of the top sports betting affiliate sites promote both them and DSI as their main sportsbooks. I recently asked to have my large negative carry over removed so that I could continue to promote them and they refused with a very rude email, so needless to say they are not on my favorites list.

I got an email today from DSI saying they ditched the minimum player stipulation, and replaced it with a $200 minimum for payout.

Seems like DSI did the right thing here.
Did you guys get this email? - 08-28-2010 09:37 AM #6Moderator - Big Kahuna

That's cool! Quota's don't have a place in this industry. They are predatory and just not acceptable.

Well, now that they have changed their T&Cs to the better, maybe they can look at Antoine's case again and reconsider....

Bookmaker.com is a scam
I received the $200 minimum email from DSI as well, but nothing from Bookmaker. They are currently holding (stealing) $2,000 of my commission because I do not have 10 active players. Mind you I have over 50+ players over the last few years. These guys are real creeps and it is sad to see them flush a good rep down the toilet with this blatant greedy act.
