    Hi!
I have a question for those of you affiliates who earn more than average $ 2000 a month from your site.

Do you have another job apart from your online business or do you focus primarly on your website?

Just asking as I am working full time and find very dfficut to find the time and energy to work on my site afterwork…and at the same time my site does not bring money enough to allow me to focus only on that and leave my first job…

Pls. share your thoughts with me.
    Many thanks.

It’ll take you a while to make the jump safely. The cost of living goes down when you start working at home on the computer full time – no commute, work in your pyjamas, no buying lunch and so on. It adds up.

I have been doing this full time for many years now and I love it.

Making the switch to full time was not easy. Before i left the corp world i was making 3X my salary from sites and still was worried. Once i did it though it has been great. be sure you devote a good amount of time to your sites though.

Things to remember when working from home
    1) A Judge Judy break will not help, but mowing the lawn will
    2) The Price is Right will only piss you off
    3) Checking your stats can only eat up so much of the day (guilty as charged)
    4) Google will only let you down – but sooner or later (maybe only for 1 week or 1 month a year) Google won’t
    5) When you finally get that ‘whale’ SAVE YOUR MONEY – buy 1 nice thing (not a car) and save the rest
    6) get your expenses under control – it really shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg to do this
    7) when you are on a ‘roll’ turn off your cell phone, home phone, put a Do Not Disturb sign on your front door and office door (a serious ‘work roll’ only happens once in a while)
    8) there are no days off (but there are 1/2, 3/4 days off)

I had a fulltime job at a bank for 7 years and did the casinos as a hobby on the side.
2 years ago I resigned from my day job and worked on casinos fulltime.
I have never regretted it and now even manage to employ 7 staff myself and have proper offices. I still work from home though and my staff work at our offices which are conveniently next door to us. ( We bought the house next door and converted it into offices ) , so I guess I could be classed as one of those “successful” stories.
The good side about working from home is the following:
You don’t have that dreaded Monday morning feeling when the alarm clock goes off because you no longer have to set it!
You can get out of bed whenever you want to ( within reason of course )
You can work as many hours you like.
You can go to the shops, Doctor appointments etc when you want.
You can go on leave when you like and not worry about asking the boss for leave.
You can work in your pajamas so you save a fortune on work clothes.
You can make all of your own decisions and do not report to a boss.
The bad side about working from home.
It can get a bit stressful when you are not having a good month and have expenses to meet, as you can no longer rely on a fized salary.
You never really get away from work.
You have to be disciplined and put the hours in, which can sometimes be many more hours than your previous day job.
You have to be careful that you don’t become a recluse ( I sometimes don’t leave the house for weeks )
You do sometimes miss the social side of working with other people – but luckily the forums often fill this gap.

If I had the choice to do it all over again – I wouldn’t think twice about it. Being your own boss is the best thing in the world !!!
