Aha, Referspot again.
A pattern has emerged here - and I am quite sure that Referspot statistics were not shown to ecogra.
I have been in contact with eCOGRA and communicated this to them.dominique

I have been in touch with eCOGRA and they are looking into the Referspot situation.

Dear Michael,
The information you provided as well as the time taken to compile this information is much appreciated.
We have noted your concern raised as to the adequacy of the settlement amount recommended by the eCOGRA investigators.
We would like to emphasise that our mandate from Grand Prive was to review all records provided by the company in respect of the Grand Prive Affiliate Program software and related database. We were not requested to review any other affiliate program system or information, nor were we made aware of any other system or pertinent information.
We are confident that the settlement amounts have been correctly calculated based on our mandate and the affiliate and player data provided to us by Grand Prive at the time of the review. Regrettably we cannot legally perform any further investigation work into this matter unless mandated by Grand Prive management. Such a mandate has not to date been forthcoming.
Regards,

Yep, got that too.
So ecogra never saw all the legacy players from Referspot and never will. GP hired them to do the audit and showed them whatever they pleased.
Well, goes to show the industry doesn't feel obligated to follow any laws at all.

This just seems silly. A company mandating you to review all of the documents that they provide you with. Of course the finding will be exactly what the company wants you to find.
This would be like if I requested the IRS to do an audit of my finances based only on the information I provided them with. I would never pay any taxes because I would always provide them with evidence in my favor.
A true audit looks at multiple parties, all of the facts and it digs deeper than what is easily accessible. GP would have to give eCOGRA access to all of their documentation for the past years and than any accountant worth a darn would have seen that something didn't line up.
Its just silly. Smoke and mirrors. -

Well you know, I went into the archived old referspot forum and there the aff manager says that the new Grand prive platform is Microgaming, and Microgaming was handling the transfer of data. So, Microgaming KNOWS the size of the dtat base and in effect is compliant with Grand Privee and allowing this to happen.
IMO the ball is in Microgaming's court.
Used to be there was a measure of self policing in this industry - so much for that!dominique
