    Pokerati Has the Stats

    From the CAP News page:

July 29, 2009 (CAP Newswire) — Over at the Pokerati blog, Dan Michalski compiled a cool list of statistics showing, at least in part, the effect that National Poker Week had on the political movement to get online poker fully legalized in the United States.

Most interestingly, Michalski claims that the issue of Internet poker generated more letters sent to Congress this year than have all other hot topics such as the economic recession and the rising cost of fuel. He also claims that more than 100 meetings took place between PPA representatives and Congressional offices in a two-day period over the course of National Poker Week.

About 40 lobbyists were engaged in last week’s National Poker Week initiative, Michalski claims, with seven consulting firms retained for these services. To read the complete list for these and other statistics, click here.
