Intertops and Microgaming Split
Reports indicated separation is result of Intertops' desire to enter U.S. market
From the CAP News page:
May 28, 2009 (CAP Newswire) -- Company officials for Intertops have announced that they are ending their relationship with software provider Microgaming. The decision is apparently a result of Intertops’ desire to enter the U.S. market, which Microgaming does not allow. (Read about Intertops’ new U.S.-facing online casino here.)
The decision was likely a difficult one, as Microgaming has been powering Intertops for more than 10 years, with successful results. With more than 120 prestigious clients, Microgaming is the world’s largest online gaming software provider.
However, Microgaming’s strict policies against involvement in the U.S. market, inspired by the UIGEA, continue to be a source of problems for some of its U.S.-affiliated partners.
"Intertops Casino is proud to have been powered by such a reputable, market-leading, gaming software provider over the past decade,” Michl Posch, Head of Marketing, commented. “The assistance that Microgaming has provided in the change process has been extremely helpful."
