Oscar-nominated actor Don Cheadle joins leading poker website's "Friends" roster

May 12, 2009 (CAP Newswire) -- Already associated with an impressive assortment of well-known poker players and celebrities, Full Tilt Poker, one of the world’s largest online poker destinations, has just added its biggest celebrity yet: Academy Award-nominated actor Don Cheadle has been added to the “Friends of Full Tilt” roster.

Cheadle’s fame is likely to enhance the site’s reputation, and quite possibly bring it even greater amounts of traffic (enough possibly to help it close in on current #1 poker destination, PokerStars). Cheadle's presence also stands to bring the site (and the online gaming industry in general) good publicity. Cheadle is a highly respected actor, having worked in such critically acclaimed feature films such as "Hotel Rwanda" and "Boogie Nights".

“I’ve done alright in the televised tourneys I’ve participated in and I’ve won several tournaments around town,” Cheadle told Bluff Magazine. “I have yet to play in the WSOP events, but I hope my schedule will permit me to do so in the future.”
