High Rollers – Who are you?

High-Rollers is a nickname given to those who deposit significantly large amounts compared to the average player. These players amount to only 1%-2% of the total casino and online site players, but total up to 40%-50% of the profits.
There’s no doubt that the main goal of any gambling site is to “reel in” these high rollers and keep them close by.
In this article we will analyze: who are these high rollers? What are their main characteristics and behavior? How can we locate them? How can we hold on to them? And of course, how can we increase profits from these gambling sharks?

    Introduction

Players in the gambling world divide up into 3 main groups: small/temporary players, moderate/loyal players, and the high rollers. We will focus on the third group of players. High rollers, as the name suggests – are players who roll out a lot of cash. These players deposit sums of money that are 20 times and higher the sum of the average player.
From a statistical analysis, it is shown that high rollers amount to 1%-2% of all online players, but the sum of their deposit comprises 40%-50% of all deposits.

Who is the average high roller

First off, a high roller player is a wealthy man. What’s wealthy? His personal fortune is at least 50 times the sum of his deposits, meaning he is definitely in the millions and multi millions. The act of gambling for him is a source of fun, and not a source of profit.
High rollers usually don’t make deposits very often, but the sum of each deposit is quite large. These players, for the most part, are more loyal than the average player, and often less open to tempting offers by other suppliers. These players tend to “stick” to one type of game, like slot machines.

    Ways to spot high rollers

So where can we find these players?

The answer is: You don’t. They come by themselves!! High rollers usually come to the sites through quality referring sites (affiliates) who include tempting offers to this population, meaning high bonuses, new tournaments and prizes. The Refer a Friend programs aren’t so relevant here, since they tend to keep their identity and the chances that a high roller member refers a friend to a specific site is virtually zero.

Preserving the players and increasing profits

If you got lucky and a high roller has stumbled upon your site, first of all say thank you!! But from that point on, lays a lot of work – preserving the player (also called – retention). Preserving these players is a different task than preserving regular players. So how do you do it? The magic word is: prizes. Everyone loves prizes, no matter what the income or economic status or personality. People love to win prizes and get excited – so what is the economic worth for the site that rewards our player with an expensive $1,000 watch when that player poured in $20,000 in losses at the site.
We know of sites that give away big screen TV’s, video cameras, world trips, and much more to their big time players. The feedback that they get from these players will always exceed whatever the casino invests.

    Conclusion

High roller players are the bonanza for every gambling site operator. After we got to learn the characteristics of these players and how they should be dealt with, the conclusions and tasks are clear:
    1) Make your High rollers feel like a million bucks – they want to feel like winner, so the casino must “initiate” some wins. For instance: “you’ve been chosen the player of the week, here’s $100 reward”. The cost of the reward is so minor, compared to other prizes and gifts, but the benefit is double. Your player will feel like a winner, and that’s exactly what he’s looking for.
    2) Signal yourselves as Winners’ sites.
    3) The large number rule of thumb works! 1:100 – for every 100 average players that come to your site, a single high roller will come. So increasing market activities with quality affiliate sites will definitely do the job.
    4) These players require specific offers – high bonuses and new tournaments.
    5) Preserving high rollers should be done with a personal touch, using a variety of rewards.

    Great thread !!!

I must say that the conversion ratio of the high rollers is much better for high bonuses, but the casino bonuses must be over 200%. High rollers usually play slot machines and I’ve seen players that wagered with over $400,000 in one year.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi all

Thanks for all the responses to our email.

I must clarify one spot, giving prizes are not the only way to retain high roller. If your casino won’t have new games, new offers and your support team is not friendly enough – nothing will help you keep your high rollers playing for long time.

Thanks for all the responses and the mails.

It sounds like the high roller portion is even 2%-4%

It seems like few of them are still free !!!
