CAP in the News: Possible Solution to Affiliates Vs. Grand Prive Dispute
Affiliate community body working on solution to affiliate outrage at operator's U.S. decisions
From today's CAP News page:
December 31, 2008 (InfoPowa News) -- The continuing furor over online casino operator group Grand Prive axing its U.S. affiliates but keeping their players (see previous reports) could have a solution in store, according to a progress report this week from the head of the CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com community, Lou Fabiano.
Fabiano and his team have apparently been in direct discussions recently with Grand Prive/Villa Fortuna management in an effort to safeguard its affiliate members rights.
"We had another teleconference today with the [Grand Prive] owners and it appears there is a good possibility of making some headway on this serious issue," Fabiano reported to his members earlier this week.
"Grand Prive asked that we inform everyone of the following:
"1. CAP will be their single point of contact on a resolution as they dont want to have a circus atmosphere during discussions.
"2. We are scheduled to meet the owners and senior management at CAP Euro London [in January 2009] to hammer out the final details that should make affiliates whole and allow everyone to move forward in a positive manner.
"3. They have asked that we keep details of the discussions private until a resolution is reached, so I can't provide specific terms we are working out until after everything is finalized."
Fabiano praised the efforts of the many affiliates who have participated actively in bringing home to Grand Prive the seriousness of the situation and motivating the online casino group to seek a fair solution.Last edited by Nathan; 12-31-2008 at 02:19 PM.

Thats correct cowboy and we dont expect that to change.
What we are working towards is all players being attributed to the rightful affiliate owners at their new program Villa Fortuna. We want all back commissions paid and for normal payments to resume for the life of those existing players.
Thats the objective. Hopefull if CAP and its members keep up the pressure we will acheive that goal. -

Can anyone tell us anything about this issue, like if the scheduled talks even took place? I
Is the arrangement that you've been working on close to being final yet?
Any kind of update would be appreciated.

A little disappointing, but I guess disappointment is to be expected from Grand Prive.
Yes, thanks for letting us know what's happened.Last edited by Daera; 02-02-2009 at 08:22 PM.
