Sportingbet's New Video Streaming and Live Betting Working Well
Boolabus partnership pays off
In today's CAP News:
December 8, 2008 (InfoPowa News) -- The U.K. gambling software provider Boolabus is pleased with the efficacy of its new video streaming and live betting application for non-U.K. websites recently commissioned at Sportingbet. Boolabus founder and md Brian MacSweeney revealed on the company blog this week that the software involved included new features that had impressed the online punters.
MacSweeney wrote: "We recently completed an upgrade to Sportingbet's live betting application that we are very proud of. They are a great client who aren't afraid to try new things. The application has some nice features such as personalised favourites. But we've added a few more that have really got the punters excited.
"The settlement feed is simple but very important for a certain kind of customer -- it lets you know immediately when a market has been settled. The other feature is live video and we've pushed the boat out on this one. The application has a great integrated player with countdowns and all of the rich functionality you'd expect. There is a pop-up player that links back to the main event. But best of all is the 'Supersize' feature. It plays full-size video in the main window and not in a pop-up. On large monitors this just feels right.
"The best video implementation in a sportsbook? We'd like to think so," he concluded.
MacSweeney should know -- he has been in the business for a long time, involved in developing major hit products like "Deal or No Deal" when he worked for Endemol as creative and subsequently managing director. He pioneered a push towards online game shows and more mass-market gambling opportunities and also led several projects with various gambling operators on strategic product development work. This included live betting applications, consulting for lottery operators, and developing a range of original games. He's also worked in product development with Littlewoods Gaming and BSkyB.Nathan - CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com Staff
