Ideas for your review text (now that’s handy)

We get a lot of people asking us about review text, so we thought we’d help you out with a little outline for a good review:

TITLES

Be creative in your review titles. “Sun Bingo – Really Good Bonuses” is not quite as exciting as “Bonus Bonanza at Sun Bingo”. If you are specific about bonus values in your title, this also helps. Page titles should be hyperlinks to the main article!

SUMMARY TEXT

If you are including short summaries in your article lists on the main page, then make sure that these are not more than two sentences long, and are packed with game names, promo values (as appropriate), and a reason for clicking on it . E.g., “Read why Jackpotjoy is giving away guaranteed cash.”

ARTICLE CONTENT AND HYPERLINKS

Imagine that your article is about Sun Bingo’s fun 90 Ball game.
In any site review, your visitors expect a fair assessment of the site, including:

1. why it’s better than the others
2. what they get out of it
3. what’s good
4. what’s not
5. how you rate it in comparison with others
6. other information you want to add

These six categories can form the basis of your review. Write them individually, then piece them together. Easy!

Remember as well that they are there to convert. So, every mention of “bingo“, “bingo site“, “90 ball bingo” – and so on – should be a hyperlink to your affiliate tracking ID, so that you can convert on these keywords and phrases.

The more hyperlinks the better, but beware of overloading your text. (You’ll notice that we have included hyperlinks in this article, too!):satisfied

SCREENSHOTS

Including game screenshots can be very useful resource for your players. Take these from the site’s homepage, and crop them to suit your needs. Remember to use a high resolution file type (such as PNG) to optimise its appearance on your page.

BANNER POSITIONING

Using banner/flash creatives is a fantastic way to back up your text arguments. What’s more, they effectively double your vistors’ option for conversions,. as they can cilck on hyperlinks from within your article, as much as the banners themselves.

TRACKER URLS

Always check your tracker URLs are properly in place before you make the page go live. If you need to, ask your affiliate manager to check your page for you, and they – if they work for a good affiliate program :wink-wink – will help you out.
