Soon there is a new president so maybee it’s time to open the gambling ban discussion again. If the industry start a new debate about this now and if ppl start to talk about it then the ban maybee can be lifted.

It was silly to put the gambling ban in a port security bill. Start to create some new videos about this and put em up on youtube. Also include someting like. – Is it possible that USA will get more free again with a new president that wana change it, change the ban.

I think it’s a good strategy to do this now.. Don’t use lobbyism directly to the new president, use it to create opinion at the ppl and open debates about this.

The technology is moving forward, why are the casinos in Las Vegas putting in a break here. Instead they can continue their land based casino AND open online casinos themself to move forward with the new technology.

It’s like the newspapers would go in and lobby for ban news sites since it’s cheaper than to create newspapers. Instead most newspapers accepted technology and also have news sites today.

Also, if Las Vegas casinos start online casinos themself they reach the world instead of the ppl in and around LV. Tourists still wana see Las Vegas and will still travel there since it’s more fun that to sit home with a computer.

Hope this silly ban can be lifted soon!

As far as I know the online casinos are not on our side and will never be.

I prefer to get this to President Elect Obama asap because that is what he is there for. To listen to the people. Out with all the old crap and in with the new way. :D

The rest of the world has online gaming and it’s only a few right wingers and some others that feel they can tell us what to do spoiling the deal for us.

We need to be our own lobbyist and not depend on anyone else to get this business regulated.

We need to target those in congress that are looking to take away online gambling ONE by ONE and let them know that we will not stand for this!

I know that several in congress were targeted and gotten rid of and the same can be done in this situation if the people know who they are. :flush:

We have the skills to get it done and I’m going to do my best to see that this industry gets regulated asap. We need to APPEND to his agenda below. :D

    http://change.gov/agenda/

    The Agenda

President-Elect Obama and Vice President-Elect Biden have developed innovative approaches to challenge the status quo in Washington and to bring about the kind of change America needs.

The Obama Administration has a comprehensive and detailed agenda to carry out its policies. The principal priorities of the Obama Administration include: a plan to revive the economy, to fix our health care, education, and social security systems, to define a clear path to energy independence, to end the war in Iraq responsibly and finish our mission in Afghanistan, and to work with our allies to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, among many other domestic and foreign policy objectives.

Hey wait, you guys said once we (RWC) were out of power, online casinos were going to have a much better chance. Now The DEMS have all 3 positions and your telling me that The RWC is going to be the reason that online gaming cant get puched through.

Thats BS on 2 points.1. You and all the other that wanted the RWC out said it would help the gaming cause and 2. there is no reason at all it couldnt get through now, you’ll got the Pres., the spkr, and the house and they cant get online gaming passed, :flush:oh thats nice, but there are going to cure everything else.:roflmao:

nobody said this at any point of time. maybe you are taking words out of context. as far as i understand it, its close to hopeless. and i doubt there is anything i can do about it besides proclaiming myself as being anti-prohibition. well, im not gonna lose any sleep on this one.

as for gamtrak’s opinion, and the other dude who started the thread, its not a question of what you can do individually, but of collective behavior. i’m not in US nor am i american, so its hard to be of any legislative use. however, if there could be a small petition started, just like http://boycottkentucky.com/, the maybe there will be enough SEO weight carried by all affiliates who link to it, to have that site ranked for some crucial keywords like “online gambling legal”.

it would be pretty cool if someone takes the effort to build the site argumentatively. not the allfreechips style of being pro-republican (no offense bro), but more of a constructive and descriptive way without being too subjective. that could be a start.

You and 99% of the ppl in here blamed RWC for not allowing online gaming, now you (Liberals ) are in total charge, so pass the law. Don’t tell me you guys never blamed RWC cause it was foiled, so, un foil it……….in January, not now I realize.

I’m NOT even going to waste my time on you bud405n. YOU just don’t get it!

You are the type to bitch, moan and complain about stuff worse than a woman, but never offer any useful suggestions and I’m NOT in the mood for crap today. :flush:

I have a lot of personal work, CAP work and getting this industry regulated so I’m going to get to it.

What i have read Obama works a bit with Warrent Buffet.

I have also read that Warrent Buffet was into the stock market and currency trading. That’s a bit like gambling i think.

Im not sure if what i read is true but if it is true Obama would be a bit gambling friendly i think.

i dunno mate, thats like saying that people who like trees love apples.

while stock trading is a little bit like gambling to the unknown eye, for investors its more of a known decision. by definition gambling has no predicted outcome unless you are playing poker or something. but yea, you have a point…

i wonder if he’ll actually take warren buffet as his advisor. that would be strange indeed.

Bill Frist the republican senator and majority leader(edited for correct word) is primarily to blame. But it was Republicans in congress that wanted to ban online gambling. But it took both dems and republicans to make it law.

Putting the previous blame and claims aside.

    I think we should:
    1. Lobby to end the current law by supporting the argument that the “overburden banks” should not be forced into enforcing a gambling ban.
    2. Push to allow states to decided whether to legalize and license (and TAX of course) online gaming.

We need to make sure the law doesn’t required “affiliate advertisers” to hold a casino license, rather the affiliate programs should be licensed. Every land based casino worker in the NV, NJ, MI need a gaming commission license, even to clean rooms or wait tables. We don’t want to be put under these licensing requirements in a regulated online gaming world.

Exactly, I agree with you on that.

UIEGA was slipped into the Port Security bill at midnight. Not too many were going to vote out against that bill.

I remember that and even have it on video tape because I wanted to remember how low down and dirty that move was. It just goes to show that the Bush administration was a disaster and an example of how we got to this financial fiasco and economic crisis.

They are focused on taking away our rights instead of taking care of the country. :sarcasm:

I still think that the online gambling ban was a crazy thing to do since they put it in a port security bill. They did because they wanted it to be that way with force, no mater what people realy want. That move was a big stake, like the creation of guantanamo and things like that. USA have broken the rules of the world at some points and have got a bad reputation at the same time..

I also think more ppl get killed in America when they don’t have health insureance or get killed by knifes or other weapons. USA would do better in helping their own people instead of killing in other countries. More ppl get killed in America from knives and guns than from terrorists. Right now i feel very sorry for USA’s big spendings on war and also all the hummans that get killed in this and their families. It’s not worth it.

Today you are more free if you live in France for example. Soon maybee rushia as well.

Im not sure whats hapening to America.. I was in a bar this night and meet a person and we discussed some politics.. When we came to the point that we love and miss the America from the 80’s and 90’s we aggred and had the same feelings.. We want to love America but how…..? But we aggreed, we do love America at this time too but we want to see the old America.

The fenomena is well known.. When something is great we simply start enjoying it.. At the same time things around the pleasure work hard to reach the same goal and then it does with speed and moves also further.

Sweden have the same trouble… It “was” a very great country but today china uses better technology at many points. We have “relaxed and enjoyed” our achievements and had no idea that the world around us would move this fast. Well, of course some peaple would have known this but the feeling among the ordinary people have been that we live in one of the best of worlds.

Today China seems to be no.1 very soon…

Im not sure what is gona happen to Europe since everything is cheaper to produce in china and simular countries.

I miss thge 80’s and 90′.. Also, when i hear my parent speak about the time they grow up like 40 years ago. During that time you could choose where to work. Everyone needed ppl to work at their place so they could choose.. Today, everything is complicated, they want papers about your whoole life and maybee you’ll get a jobb.. Today small stupid things have become complicated for no reason at all.

This “new” world is not human friendly, today it’s better to be a robot without feelings..

Im so tired of this and most ppl are but what can we do? A new Arnold?

But i do laught a lot when i see American movies and actors… Right now no other country beat america at that point so for me USA is the funnies country in the world.. :inlove:
