Sen. Barack Obama will defeat Sen. John McCain to become the next U.S. president, CNN projects. Projected wins in West Coast states helped give the Democrat the magic number of electoral votes.

Congrats to Obama! But congrats also to Mc Cain for giving a fair, honorable, and heartfelt concession speech. The true Mack is back.

I dont know much about politics or this election as I live in Spain and to be honest not that interested in politics :)

BUT I heard someone say not sure who now but that if Obama was elected president he would remove the restrictions on gambling online in the US?

Is this true or did I have a strange dream ?

    :)

you had a strange dream sorry

which doesn’t mean that there won’t be incremental change to relax restrictions in the future.

    It’s a dream Kelly.

Online gambling isn’t on Obama’s agenda, if anything changes it will be because of the work of Barney Frank and others.

Frankly the most likely way for online gambling to be legal and regulated, is a deep recession. When state budgets are facing billion dollar shortfalls and politicians don’t want to raise taxes, they look to gambling for revenues.

It may have been a dream Kelly, but that does not mean that it will not come true! :) Obama being elected as our new President shows that anything is possible.

I don’t know how much power/respect Barney Frank will have after the financial crisis fiasco and so I’m not holding my breath just relying on him. It’s gonna take Obama’s help to make it happen.

Today I got some bad news that will affect all affiliates and it will not be very happy once it comes out public and will affect ALL of our income so we all need to get busy and get this industry regulated before it’s to late.
