Does anyone have information about Interwetten and Paddypower. Are they reliable and do they pay their affiliates on time?

Also, any good/bad information about Moneybookers?

    Thanks

Both Interwetten and PaddyPower are reliable European operators.

    Neither accept American players.

Moneybookers is a long established European based e-wallet – and has been very relaible for me over the past 5 years.

So in my opinion all three sites are good to partner with.

Go with Paddy. They are a very solid book and will make sure you and your players are satisfied.

Do not go with Interwetten. They have caused lots of anger and frustration among players lately and should be avoided.

Interesting pair of bookmakers you picked out there Blackstone1 – can I ask how you managed to narrow it down to those two in particular?

Personally, I’d echo Tribun’s opinion at face value, but it should depend on your target audience and a) what sort of markets they’re liking to be interested in and b) where they are based – think about languages and customer services offered by the bookmaker.

If you’d like a hand in choosing one of these (or maybe a different one :wink-wink) send me a PM and we can discuss.

    Paddy Power:
They have some good and friendly people in their affiliate team such as Jess Roche, Sinead Lambert and Fintan Costello. Have a chat with them about the commission and material that they can offer you.

    Interwetten:
Interwetten has been around for a very long time and currently use the Netrefer affiliate system. In itself this system is a token of quality affiliate management, and I am sure that you will not be cheated out of any commissions working with them. However, their custoemr service / affiliate teams do not seem to take full advantage of this. They have not embraced the importance of good relationships with their affiliates yet, and thus the response time are longer and they might seem less trustable.

    Bet365 – Tom Galanis:
Agree with Tom! No reason not to include a few others here. Bet365 has done a great job within affiliate marketing. And I will highly recommend people to work with them on their sports betting adventure. They give good commissions and deal very well with the traffic you send to them.

For other reccomendations we need some more info like Tom mentions:
    – Target audience (recreational players, pro punters, semi-pro punters, poker players etc.)
    – GEO location
    – And whatever you might think could be relevant for the best possible fit

Tribun, do you have any links to cases / sites where there is some bad info on Interwetten… might be worthwhile brining into the discussion.

One last question. How many affiliates does everyone recommend for a website?
I’ve heard some people use up to five but that seems like too many?
I’ve looked at several sportsbooks, what’s the best number to promote?

I’d say a lot of it depends on your site, what the theme is behind it. If it’s driven by content, I’d say you shouldn’t limit the site to a fixed number of operators. If you’re talking simply about banners, pick those operators with the strongest brand, the strongest calls to action, the best retention policies and who offer you the best deal!

My suggestion would be to try out a fairly large selection of operators on your site, move them around and find out what works best on your site and makes you the most money! :hattip:

    Blackstone1,

I agree with Tom on this one.

It really comes down to the site you are running, the purpose of the site, the content and the users you have.

Maybe you could share some more details with us?

Also, I wouldnt say that promoting 5 or more bookies is too much. Sign up to more programmes and see where the best synergies are.

As a punter, I have accounts with 8 or 9 bookmakers (the usual names – Will Hill, Ladbrokes, BetFred, SportingBet, StanJames, etc.). I’m a fairly casual bettor, but I do want the best odds for each bet, hence the large number of accounts.

So, I would say – particularly if you are going to be posting betting tips – affiliating with a large number of sportsbooks is probably a very good idea.

If you have any particular questions about Paddy Power don’t hesitate to contact me.

Just like to say thanks to Brainman and Tribun for the nice comments.

    Cheers
