    Hi everyone

I got a mailer from Casino On Net encouraging me to apply for their affiliate scheme.

I was blown away with the $200-$300 CPA deal they were offering.

Guess they’ve got no where else to put their marketing money after the ad bans.

Does anyone have any good or bad opinions on promoting them?

Simon, 888 is a very reputable program and you don’t have to worry about promoting them.

They used to be way overexposed – but not so much anymore.

I don’t see why you shouldn’t give them a whirl!

Casino on Net has a great reputation.

I am unsure about their aff management, though.

You brought up a very good point, si, the ad bans must be making a shift in the industry.

I know I’ve been finding it more of a challenge to get quality traffic – lower priced clicks, but fewer results = more cost to advertise. At least that’s my experience.

Perhaps the casinos should sweeten the pots for us, since they may have extra marketing money kicking around.

    Just a thought.

There may well be a sliver lining to the ad ban cloud after all, as I’m aware Casino On Net used a ‘pull’ marketing strategy by advertising direct to the consumer.

Since the bans the only real way of doing this would be through SERPs but there’s little chance they’ll beat the casino portal webmasters. Guess it’s through us or not at all now.

(but I really could have done with an extra couple of months with adwords till my site started to get more natural visitors from the engines).

Thank you for your thoughts on 888

They used to be way overexposed – but not so much anymore.

With a CPA of $200-$300 I’ll be surprised if they don’t start getting overexposed again. But I suppose they’ve aimed at establishing themselves as the most prominent casino brand, the CPA may well reflect that goal.

Does anyone know how well they convert (PS I’m targeting the UK market)

I’ll admit that CPA is high. But I really doubt that it’s worth taking over a profit share scenario…

Well, I’m kinda at odds with it myself but what I will say is that it’s frustrating having the months go by and seeing activity in your account but in the red.

I’m still new to the scene so here’s plenty to learn, but on casinos with monthly bonuses I will always take rev share (for the potential repeat business) but on casinos with only sign up bonuses I’m more open to CPA.

888 is a funny one as it’s promotion is a 20% bonus so they seem to be targeting someone who is willing to place a big deposit. So would I be missing out on big ‘ish’ players.

On the other hand 888 is an established brand I can see plenty of small time players giving it a try for the sake of brand recognition which suggests I should go for CPA.

Once again Antoine is on target.

I’d never even consider a CPA except on a page I was getting traffic for keyword phrases with the word “free” in it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve no doubt that Rev share is by far the better long term option.

But as a business you have to seek some stability and CPA is a way to gain that until you have enough punters in your Rev share casinos to pretty much guarantee month income.

There is some method in my madness.

Anyway, now that I’ve had a better look at 888 I’m questioning featuring it on my site as Casinos Compared is targeted to UK players (at least until I get around to a US mirror).

most of my revenue share accounts are in the neg….most of the time, too, that’s why I love CPA. At least I’m guaranteed something and I’m not being greedy wanting it all….
Besides, I get the freebie one timers all the time. I’ve gotten a whale rarely…..
