I could not believe my eyes after I just got the email from them, saying that they are closing down in two days!
After they just recently switched to Boss Media software, I was expecting them to grow bigger and better than ever before. Apparently they however got no more business at all under BM.
Anyways, guys get your funds out quickly there, as you only have a couple days left to do so!November 29, 2007 at 7:46 pm #755241vladcizsolMemberI just checked and apparently they are closing.
Trib would you mind posting the letter please.
November 29, 2007 at 10:15 pm #755251CaptainetteMemberThey sent me an email about it but its not in English.
English affiliates received this email:“We regret to inform you that Global Player Casino & Poker Room will cease business on Friday 30th November, 2007 at 23:59:59 GMT.
Following a recent evaluation of our current business, the management of Universal Gaming Concepts Inc. has decided that it is no longer feasible to continue to operate the Global Player brands, which include Global Player Casino, GPC Pokerroom, and the Global Player Affiliate Program.
The first phase of the shut down will start with the disabling of the casino and poker clients on Friday 30th November, 2007 at 23:59:59 GMT. Players will no longer be able to log into their account and those who have not requested their payouts prior to our closing date will have to call our support hotline or email support@global-player.com to have their payout requests processed manually. Our support staff will continue to process payout requests until December 30th 2007.
Phase two of the termination process will affect the Affiliate Edge. The final affiliate payments will be approved on December 3rd and you will continue to have access to your account until December 30th at 23:59:59 GMT. We strongly recommend that you make your payout requests prior to this date since no further transactions will be processed after that time.
Global Player has enjoyed eight successful years in the online gambling space and we want to extend our gratitude to you for your continued support over the years and wish you success in your future endeavors.
For further information regarding your account, please contact Michelle or Tamara via 1-268-484-4446 or email them at Affiliates@GlobalPlayer.com.
A press release is available on our website.
Regards,
Giancarlo Bettini
Chairman & CEO”
I am sad to see this long established joint going down.
November 30, 2007 at 8:26 am #755261AnonymousInactivethat’s one of the reasons i do not join new CAP approved programs until they stick around for at least 6 months or so…otherwise all the work done to promote such sites goes to waste :flush:

Valid point. In this case the operator has been successfuly in business for many years before however, and me nor many others were expecting to seem them going under all of a sudden. I just recently wrote a review about their new Casinos myself. blargh. 🙁

What makes you think so? For a properietary software their old Casino was pretty good and performed well for a long time. With their new BM software, they certainly have had some good potential.
If you think Global player were bad, then what words would you use for many of the commonly known foul RTG and Playtech operators that are advertised on your website?
-Sorry, I could not skip on this comment.November 30, 2007 at 4:51 pm #755289finntotoMemberHi Everyone:
I really do apologize for the late post today. As you can imagine, it has been quite hectic this past week.
It is true that we are ceasing our operations effective 11:59PM tonight. Players need not worry about withdrawing their funds, however, because they will have full access to their accounts up to closing time (i.e. Friday, 30 November, 2007 11:59PM). Thereafter, they will need to contact the Boss Media Support Dept (support@global-player.com) to have their withdrawals processed manually.
Similarly, Affiliates can expect to have their settlement reports run on Monday, December 3, 2007. Payments will be approved on that day, and they can then login to their WebDollar account to make their final withdrawal. All Affiliate accounts will be enabled up to December 31st to make the process smoother.
One thing you can bank on is that all accounts (whether Player or Affiliate) will be paid in full.
We really did have a great run. Eight ( years is a milestone in this industry as you can appreciate. We solidified some great relationships and learned so much over the years. It is sad that this is the final goodbye for Global Player., but, sometimes, in business, the unexpected happens. What can you do but roll with the punches?!
I really would like to thank everyone at CAP for your advice and direction over the last few months in helping to push the Global Player brand and also to the Members for their tips and tricks of the trade! :hattip:
We will miss you all!
Take Care, everyone, and all our warmest wishes for the upcoming holiday season!:santa2:

-Sorry, I could not skip on this comment.November 30, 2007 at 11:03 pm #755320CaptainetteMemberGood Bye, Global Player.
Everything on my site makes me money
How about your referred players though? Do you think they appreciate the treatment they are getting at Jackpot Joy, Crystal Palace, Prism Casino, etc.??
Not only will you make more money by promoting honest Casinos in the long run, but you will also be able to feel better about the way you are making it.
-Do I really need to say this though…?December 1, 2007 at 12:02 am #755326AnonymousInactiveYes, I handle any situation myself between my players and casinos I promote, and I have removed casinos in the past with non responsible reactions.
any other Q’s?

Is there a chance Global Player will be reincarnated some time in the future?
January 23, 2008 at 1:11 am #759299vladcizsolMemberGood point. I will close this section but leave in the databse for search purposes.
