A few days ago I was prompted to change all Italian links to http://www.it.roxypalace.com and have since received 0 hits nor downloads. I have asked Monia to check my site but have as of yet not heard back from her. Please look into this asap or I will have to replace you banners as I cannot afford to send traffic down a black hole.

    Cheers!

    Hi Goldfinger,

Thanks for posting. Please can you supply me with your affiliate id and the e-mail address that you mailed Monia from (Please feel free to PM me or mail it to support@roxyaffiliates.com if you don’t want to post it publicly).

Monia has checked her Italian support box and has definitely replied to all mails received. We would like to ensure that we are getting all mails and that our responses are in fact being sent out.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Thanks and regards,

    Nicole.

Sorry if my post was a bit harsh. It seems that I didn’t get Monia’s email. Probably because of the attachment. It didn’t even land in my spam folder.

The issue I have is this. I redirected the href part of your links to

    http://www.roxyaffiliates.com?mybtag%5B/CODE%5D

then after Monias email I changed this to
www.it.roxypalace.com?mybtag
and nothing seems to be tracking at all anymore. How can this be? It doesn’t make sense to me with regards to the programming logic. If it tracked before it should track now after I changed the links in my backend?
www.roxyaffiliates.com?mybtag
Hi again,

All tracking on the Italian fix has been tested and is tracking and working correctly.

Monia has just mailed you regarding the issue you are having but in case you’re not checking your mail regularly, please can you cut and paste the exact code that you are currently using, send it through to me and we’ll check it on our side immediately.

    Thanks,

    Nicole.

    Hi Nicole,

I do check my emails regularly and I got Monia’s second email that she sent today but never received the first one she sent. I’m sending you the code I use now so you can take a look at it.

My issue has been resolved and I will change all the links. I must mention though how this screw up came about. I take some of the blame since I was negligent for not looking whether all of the query parameters are the same. I must say though that the email I received gave me no reason to believe that I should look out for changes other than to the baseurl .

    Ciao Goldfinger,

we have just resolved the problem with the http://www.roxypalace.com link, it has been changed to http://www.it.roxypalace.com .

The following are the suggested proceedings as to how to go about changing the links on your sites:

    * Change manually the http://www.roxypalace.com link to http://www.it.roxypalace.com

    OR

    * Visit http://www.roxyaffiliates.com and cut and paste the new links for banners directly from the Marketing Tool section

We apologize for the inconvenience in the past 2 days but we could not foresee the problem.

Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Many thanks for you co-operation.

    Best regards,

Now above email gave me no reason to believe that anything but the baseurl needs changing which I did and lost another 4 days of traffic since your reply didn’t get through unfortunately.

What really got changed was this:

    e.g.
    before: http://www.roxyaffiliates.com/mTextlinkClick.aspx?textlinkid=1&affid=xxxx&btag=rpaffxxxx_ghome&download=false
    after:
    http://www.it.roxypalace.com/default.aspx?textlinkid=1&affid=xxxx&btag=rpaffxxxx_ghome&download=false&language=it%5B/CODE%5D

As I noted in my first email I didn’t need to change anything from roxypalace.com as my links were roxyaffiliates.com which was confusing to begin with. I don’t want to make a big deal of this but if affiliates have to change links which counts among one of the least favourite activities at least I want to receive an email which tells me what exactly needs to be changed which above email clearly failed to do.

If as in my case you follow the first option word by word you inevitably start messing up the links.

    cheers:hattip:
e.g.
