When does it typically start snowing in the Wisconsin Dells area?

I have traveled Wisconsin alot and generally in January and Febuary there is plenty of snow to be had. I just was wondering if we might catch some around Thanksgiving?

    Hi Prof,

No, I knew it wasnt snowing in August. I was wondering if there was a decent chance of snow around Thanksgiving. The kids dont get to see all that much snow here in Florida, so I was trying to figure out how to connect them with the white stuff.

It can start snowing as early as October, but we haven’t had any snow earlier than December in some time as I remember.

Doesn’t mean it’s not damn cold sometimes, though :)

The Dells are a lot of fun :) Just played in a huge volleyball tournament at the Chula Vista resort in the Dells about 2 months ago. Fun times.

I haven’t seen a snowfall that early in years. I’m in good ole Green Bay, though. In the northern areas, there might be more of a chance of that… especially around the Michigan border.

Thanks KW. I guess we will wait it out until next year as we are booked in December and January. I figured November was too early, but it never hurts to ask.

I used to always land in Green Bay then drive to Wasau and Fond Du Lac. This was often in January or February and there was a ton of snow then.

yeah – definitely more snow at that time :) If you ever fly into GB again – let me know, we can always have dinner before you move on to snowier pasteurs.
