I don’t mean to butt into another country’s politics but does this guy Ron Paul hold some hope for the future? Or is it just a flash in the pan?

He’s a libertarian very much opposed to internet regulation and federal interference – check out how his site compares on alexa compared to his rivals:

    http://www.alexa.com

Rudy Giuliani: (http://www.joinrudy2008.com), Fred Thompson: (http://www.fred08.com), John McCain: (http://www.johnmccain.com), Mitt Romney: (http://www.mittromney.com), Ron Paul: (http://www.ronpaul2008.com)

After all, US politics in this area affects us all.

    Actually,

Ron Paul is the only Republican I can see myself vote for. Not only cause hes a friend of Gaming world, but he has some of the old level headed traites of the Good Ole’ Party days of Reagan era. Seems to be less worked up on “Faith” and more old time conservatism. Back when the GOP stood for Fiscal Responsibility,Small Government, and Political Conservativeness. Not the “Faith” inspiried Repukes you see today. Seems to me like sometime in the early 90’s the GOP went to church a Proud and Conservative party and came out a whinny little bitch.

But in the end I doubt very seriously if he will get the votes to acquire the nomination, unfortunetly.

The cliche “Snowball’s chance in hell” comes to mind.

    Yes, BUT…

It has a snowball’s chance in hell because everyone thinks it has a snowball’s chance in hell….

True Dom you never know. in 04 Kerry was the 3rd or 4th favorite under Dean and Edwards. He won NH and ran to the nomination from there. So Paul may make a run, especially; after McCain decides to call it quits.

Ron Paul already ran for president as the Libertarian Party Candidate and got about 1% of the vote.

He has no chance to be nominated by the republicans, because
    1. He is honest
    2. He believes in personal freedom, which seems totally at odds with Karl Rove republicans who believe the constitution only applies to them.
