    Hi,

I just started to work with CPays to my disappointment so far. I find that 2/3 of my sign-ups are not tracked back to me. I have very loyal players who are also honest, we have a small community of beginners so I have a list of my own sign-ups and it shows 3 times the number of the report. Also none of my depositing players are tracked to me. When I first mentioned it to my manager with my first depositing player, nothing happened, but I didn’t care too much because he didn’t like the site and left, so I wouldn’t have earned much from him anyway. But as I have more players ther (or would have) it is a problem.

Does setting up a sign-up code solve this issue? What is your experience?

Have anyone else had the same problem with them? Somebody said in another thread that they have the worst reputation in industry what does that mean exactly?

    about 1year ago
a member on my forum posted a freebie for one of their casinos
with no specail link or code in it, so i added 1 of my banners in that post.
then i have seen about 200 download but not 1 real player.
Tanya was my manager (she is not there anymore) and she explained very short.. that i was not allowed to promote this , it was special for some other affiliate,
then i asked so where are these players now?
she did not answer on that question and just said, never again put a banner in any offer not showed to me 1st.
So i do think they just keep players theirself.
If this wwas really a special offer for another affiliate,
well how should that have worked then through my banner,
i mean people had to go to live chat and ask for this free chip.
that was it what a member posted.
so,they can then just take away the players i have sent them?
And did they (if it was that case with a special offer for another aff)
really give these players then to him?

it was a very misterious thing, and Tanya could really not
    explain or answer straight.

i should have rid them off already if that happened.
but due i got always paid in time, i thought , well not so bad,
but now the added me a negative due i did not bring them enough new players for some time ( which was not so easy lately due all Playtech stopped to take any USA) or whatever,……….

    ok enough said
    this is just my experience
i for myself do not promote them anymore now

They have a bad reputation for several reasons. One of them is they make deals with affiliates and then back out of those deals. For example they may promise to pay a certain CPA but if they don’t feel that they’ve earned enough money off of those players they will back out.

They are known for having different affiliate managers claim different things.

They will threaten certain affiliates. For example if you don’t deliver a certain number of players they’ll threaten you with lowering your commission to 20%. (even if it doesn’t say this in the terms and conditions)

They are known for phoning affiliates at all times of the day every day for months on end. This is the program that forced me to change phone numbers. I had half a dozen managers calling my house at all times of the day whenever they discovered a new website of mine in the search engines. This was nonstop and they refused to hear no. I have private whois now to avoid my new number being compromised.

There’s a whole bunch of other stuff just use the search function.

Yes, my first instinct says I should stop promoting them before I really begin to.

My problem is that even if my aff.man. puts the players who I know for sure downloaded from my link under my aff., it is just not possible to follow it afterwards and I will continue losing players. I’d rather promote an honest programme then.

Does anyone have any experience with a sign-up code? Would that track my players properly or is just CPays stealing them no matter what tracking method I use?

I think the reason not all of your sign-ups are tracked back to you might be because at one point in the past that player had clicked on another Cpays brand affiliate link which leaves a cookie on their computer and all further sign-ups would be tracked back to the original affiliate. Same with any that first use your link, then go to another affiliate site after and uses their link to sign up for something.. it will be tracked to you. So it’s really not so unfair.

The only way to solve this is to have your members clear their cookies before they click on your banner. I don’t know if everyone would go through all that just to open a new account but I think that would take care of it.

I did tell them to clear the cookies beforehand. But also we have a poker school and these are complete beginners, most of them have never heard of this site, so it is just a too big portion of them that was lost without reason. And of course I always tell my depositors to clear cookies before registering, and none of them were tracked back! So I’m pretty confident that the mistakes are not coming from my part or my players.

    Hi P,

seems to me you answer your own questions.

put aside the fact that Antoine has probably forgotten more about this biz than most of us will ever know in this industry …

disregard the …. nearly countless threads/posts made on how sleazy this operation is ….

but i think it wise to remember to always trust your first instincts.

Yes, my first instinct says I should stop promoting them before I really begin to.

I truly am amazed at how many people fall victim to sleazy aff programs. I’m tempted to ask if anybody ever does their homework? Or do they think people all make this stuff up when there is a constant pattern of questionable activities all pointing to the same place?

    …….sigh.
