I am really holding back my frustrations with this thread out of respect for your son. And I understand your emotional attachment to this situation. But do not for one second assume you have a monopoly on patriotism.

This great nation of ours is being ruined by politicians who take bribe after bribe and call it "special interest"...

Politicians who sends our sons and daughters into wars on half-truths for their financial benefit...

Politicians who slowly take freedom after freedom from us and say it's for our own good...

If fighting against this makes me un-patriotic then fine. Because this nation was founded by people who had enough and didn't take the oppression anymore.

If Thomas Jefferson were alive today he would go to Washington and punch some people right in their crooked mouths.

It's all cool guys settle down some everyone, this is not helping anything we need to be finding ways to team up together and fight together, fighting each other will not help.

JTodd, you have lost me. Yes my son served in Iraq. What does that have to do with our current debate? Please relax, we are on the same side. Did you see the news? Our new speaker is against sending te 21,000 troops. Things are looking up! Senators are being held accountable.

throughout history there have been many great nations / empires / super powers and they always ended the same way...... They didnt get beaten, they imploaded(contributed by corrupt governments).

I fear the current/recent government(s) may be the start of it for the US, because unless things change in washington, there could be big trouble ahead for the future of the US and the rest of the world.

Im only 26 and i just really dont know and "fear" what the world will be like in 10, 20 or 30 years etc

George bush has an obligation to the iraqi people to put their country back the way it was before he got there.I dont know how he is going to pay for it and dont care .Im surprised he is still president , look at the debt he has put the country in .He needs to get in the casino business to pay it off now lol.

darko, for your young age you have great insight on the current situation. My hopes are for a new administration that will correct alot of wrongs. We already have a new start and a new hope.
