    Hello All,

Debbie Richardson has worked very hard to organize the protest that is planned to be held on November 3 and 4, the Friday and Saturday before the election and she has requested that I help her spread the word, so I am requesting that all of you do the same – for her, for us, for our industry.

She has recieved confirmation from hundreds of people who will be attending the demonstration. She has speakers lined up and has attempted to get in touch with celebrities to attend the event. Poker will be played in the streets as part of the protest.

Most importantly, she has confirmation from Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN that they will have reporters and news crews attending the event. They all will do a story on the protest, however, the stories they do will not reach the actual main news unless a strong showing of at least a thousands people attend. A thousand people would fill up the rear park of the White House and would be big enough to make some noise that will get some attention.

The purpose is to get enough press in order to make the general public aware of the Republican deceitfulness just a few days before the election.

Here is full article we released earlier today about the protest… http://www.casinogamblingweb.com/gambling-news/gambling-law/internet_gambling_ban_protestors_headed_to_washington_d_c__12738.html.

Debbie, and the industry, would appreciate all your help in spreading the word. Let your email lists know about the protest, post it on your forums, and let’s try to make some noise in this election.

    Thanks.

This is not nearly getting the attention it should.

Once again, peopel complain about everything but don’t support action.

What amazes me is not that all the affiliates aren’t planning on going – even though that is amazing since this industry is their livelihood – but that when we contacted Michael Bolceryck to simply ask him to send an email to his 250,000 poker players he refused to do so, yet he expressed his support for the protest and he sends out emails to Ohians to vote against Kyl and shows up on CNN/Fox/etc talking about carveouts.

This is exactly why the ban went through in the first place, our industry does a lot of talk talk talk on the web, but when action is truly needed, everyone shuts up.

Shelley Berkely insisted that we organize our forces and go out and protest before the election, she insisted it would make a mark if we did so, this was not just a crazy idea by a mad woman.

1,000,000 People could be attending the November 3rd protest at the Washington Monument!

Debbie Richardson, the person instrumental in organizing the protest against the bill, has reported to us that over 250 people have confirmed they will be attending and that many singular people said they will be bringing groups along with them. What is the number 250 doing in our thoughts? The actual number of people that will show up for this event is 300,000+! If Debbie really wants to paint a picture, tell people they don’t want to miss out on a good popular protest.

Can I have 2 minutes of your time for prayer?

    Prayer Requests:
Pray for a good turn out at the November 3rd protest, not only in numbers but in spirit.
Pray for grace, strength and courage to be given to the protestors to make them more influential to the US government.
Pray for righteous guidance for all protestors who may hold a little too much bad anger. Give these mad men the know how to take constructive criticism.
    :Bong:
Pray for millionaires to give money to Debbie Richardson and others who will be attending the November 3rd protest.

With everything that is wrong in this country, it is most important that we COME TOGETHER. Bush and his Lackey Congress have pushed their extreme agenda down our throats with no ability for us to dissent. It is time to change course and remove these bastards who preach one thing and do another from office, and to alert the incoming legislature that we will not stand for any more abuse of power. We need to take control of our lives and stop them from dictating what THEY THINK is good for us. THEY ONLY DO WHAT IS GOOD FOR THEM! We are strong and resilient. If we stand together and fight back we can overturn the bankruptcy of this country, restore our ability to do what we think is right for ourselves and stop government intrusion into our homes. Shame to all of you out there that will not stand up for the greater good of this once great country. If the Founders of this country ever saw what is happening today they would start a revolution. It does not have to go that far, simply come to Washington, start writing and calling YOUR CONGRESSPERSON, Stand up for what you believe in and insist that they do the will of the people. I will be in Washington on November 3rd and 4th and I hope to see a very large turnout. This is more important than anything else you may have planned. It is your FREEDOM that IS AT STAKE

I’d just like to speak for those of us (as I’m sure I’m not alone) who cannot attend despite the fact they’d like to.

though I’ll not point out my personal reason, I will list a few possibilities

    lack of money
lack of time to arrange so that things at home can continue as usual
legal issues or some other such type situation that simply cannot be re-scheduled

and I’m certain there are many other legit reasons for not making the trip. Please remember this comes on in a rather sudden if not unexpected moment and for that reason alone I’m certain it simply just isn’t possible for a lot of people.

like many others … I support the matter whole-heartedly. But can I be there? not a chance.

First, thank you Dom for that awesome high resolution image. I’ll be using it.

    Second, a response:

What amazes me is not that all the affiliates aren’t planning on going

Sorry, but you can’t expect somebody to go just because they are an affiliate. I’d love to go, but its my anniversary. However, I will pass on the word and hope that some people are from D.C.

Third, are there any programs out there that might sponsor people to go? Nobody wants to pony up a plane ticket and hotel, but I know a few people who would love to get out there (even though I probably won’t be going).

Just to clarify, I said it does NOT amaze me that affiliates aren’t going – I do understand the concerns of affiliates not showing up – however, what does amaze me is the lack of effort by major organizations, such as the Poker Player Alliance, to help out a mere concerned citizen like Debbie Richardson in organizing the event that is mainly for them (the 250,000 people in the Poker Player Alliance who want the law re-examined).

As far as how many people go, it is realistic not to expect crowds of multiple thousands of protestors to an event planned so quickly about a subject not universally known. That is why the PPA help would have been important.

But this is how changes in society happen through civil action. You start with one small protest to get the word out. You keep talking, you keep spreading the word, and sooner or later a majority of the people are aware of your issue. Then you keep protesting through all means available and you don’t stop until the issue is resolved. IMHO

Your exactly right. What public effort is being made? There are millions that would support our cause, we just have to get to them. Any group with some resources could make a difference.

Is it OK to repost your article from CasinoGamblingWeb on my Bet2K site (with links back of course)? I have a gambling legislation blog it would go perfectly on and will put it on the front page as well if so. I can also spread the word via my small 300 person mailing list. I know it is not nearly as big as some, but I bet if we all included it in our mailers (a good excuse to get another mailer out anyhow!) then we could probably reach 100K people throughout CAP member’s sites.

This is what I expect out of affiliates. Of course you can use one of our articles to promote the protest! And sending out to mailing lists is a great way to get the word out.

I also wish to request that Online Casino, Poker and Sportsbook Operators send out a simple email to all their US player base letting them know of the protest. You also can use our information to quote and inform your players.

Imagine what we could accomplish if we all come together.
