I had a long discussion today with a contact at Grand Prive’. And this is there stance on this issue.

Grand Prive’ will continue to take all players from US> They have had the Gambling Bill analized page per page, and this is what they said.

” There is nothing, and i repeat, nothing in this bill that effects Grand Prive Casinos, It says nothing at all , about making online gambling illegal, all it says is that Banks, Credit Cards and financial institutions that accept payments for gambling purposes will be breaking a US law. So they only people that this really effects are those. Grand Prive’ will continue to operate as usual without a bead of sweat on thier forheads, when the time comes, and processing payments or taking money for gambling becomes a problem when this law goes into effect, they will have other arraingements made for us players to play. They will come up with some other form of money transactions.

Now, if there stance on this bill is correct, and i believe it is, i have something to say also.

IF this bill only concentrates on Money Transfering and Payments, then why do we as affiliates have to take down anything???? If it does not make online gaming illegal, only Banks, Credit Cards and Financial institutions who take money for gambling would be breaking this law. We would not be breaking any law by advertising Online Casinos or by getting paid from Online Casinos because what we do is a service. We get paid for advertising for them, we do not accept money for bets and when we get paid, it is not from gambling , but from offering our services.?

    Your thoughts please.

And to Grand Prive’……..Kudos!!!! A casino group with Balls.

The problem is this: When the US considers the transfer of money for gambling purposes illegal then the service (gambling) players are trying to pay for becomes illegal as well. And I just know when you are aiding and abetting anything like money transfers (laundering) you are in danger of these racketeering charges which put you in the legal position of one of these guys in Guantanamo with a bag over their heads.

Ok, that was my polemic rant for the day. I´m curious what Larry the Lawyer has to say about it.
