Mmm i think everyone should wait untill they issue there statement because there are rumors that this is not true. I won’t be sad to see them stop anyway, ive never promoted them.

This isn’t confirmed at all. I heard if it does happen it’s not until wednesday anyways. How much connections to the poker industry does the author of that article really have? Take it with a grain of salt.

Unless there is something we are not aware of, why would 888 jump ship this early ? They’d be sacrificing 50 % (probably more) of their income, and their share price would plummet. This makes no sense, unless there is some other factor that we don’t know about. Or, maybe this is all *ullshit !

looks like a simple way to get their stock suspended and save a massive drop in share prices based on speculation – issue a statement get their shares suspended = breathing space – quite a clever ruse if its true

I remember reading a couple of weeks back ( in the guardian newspaper) when whatshisname was arrested Playtech issued a statement saying that even if USA did ban online gaming it would only effect 2% of their player base – maybe they pre-empted this situation – 2%!! Still it stuck in my head and will do the same for investors or maybe not…….

Still makes no sense at all. Suspended stock or not, when trading resumes it will catapult downward. I think their early haste will have a worse effect on their share price than if they had taken a wait and see approach.

There is something else here, that is not evident, assuming that this story is true.

Intercasino stopped giving its monthly bonus to US players today too. Whether it was preplanned or related to the legislation, not sure.

This will only serve to anger the U.S players, just before election time.

Well, certainly the beginning of the end for us affiliate types. I think the writing is on the wall, if the big guys set this tone. I am surprised though, that they are jumping off the ship so soon.

It’s nonsense. Playtech will most likely be least affected were they to lose the US, but the claim of only 2% is ludicrous. If this is were to be accurate, the marketing departments of each Playtech operator should be fired and then hung to dry.

    Ridiculous.

I suspect many will start stiffing their affiliates.
