At what point, if ever, is taking a CPA better than a revenue share?
September 9, 2005 at 6:09 pm #672656AnonymousInactiveHello 4flush,
There are tons and tons of posts about this on the forum. You can try to search for CPA and learn all about it.
To give a short answer, CPA is mostly for when you want money instantly.
In the long run, a percentage is more profitable.
It also depends on the type of players you send. Those who play for a long time will surely be better if you take a percentage, you lose with CPA.
If your players are short term, then you are better off with CPA.
For some people combinations are an interesting way to do it.

After doing some calculations, I realize how rev share is definitively better, especially if you have members that play regularly. This of course depends on how long, on average, players play at each site.
September 9, 2005 at 11:51 pm #672667AnonymousInactiveI suggest to go with rev share, too.
But I am curious to your question too, (how long an average player stays at a site)?
Anyone have some info on this?
Thanks
September 10, 2005 at 12:05 am #672669AnonymousInactiveOne day I sat down with a lot of my stats and figured it all out.
If I had taken the CPA for all the depositing players I have here, there and everywhere I would have lost thousands of dollars, compared to what I have made with the revenue share.
However, as Dominique mentioned, I suppose it also depends on the type of players you send.
September 10, 2005 at 12:48 am #672671AnonymousInactiveIt also depends on the amount of the CPA. If you can get a CPA which is higher than what you would make on average through rev share from your players, then it would make sense to do so.

For example, I go with CPA on Pacific because you can earn $150-200 per player. Compare that to a few players on Party that I’ve had who have earned my less than $10 combined. Also, many programs ONLY offer Revenue Share like Poker.com, but they give you 40% revenues, which is awesome.
September 10, 2005 at 1:07 pm #672687AnonymousInactivei like the cpa ,aaccording i know ,some one only want to play a short time ,for example :his deposit $1000,and bet $100 one time ,and his donot wan’t to get the bonus , if hi win his will cashout ,so like the cpa ,lol :wavey:
September 10, 2005 at 2:35 pm #672695AnonymousInactiveThanks for all the advice.
It seems that some affiliates are pushing the CPA a little by making them more attractive. Which seems to me the rev. share would be more beneficial :tounge2: Been doing this <1 year so appreciate all the comments.
September 10, 2005 at 4:17 pm #672697AnonymousInactiveI would probably go for CPA if the payout is $150 or more because it feels good to get money quickly and that money can be used to generate more money. Otherwise I’d probably go for a percentage.. Now I mostly have revenue share..
Edit: And I’m promoting poker, not casinos.
September 12, 2005 at 11:18 pm #672758AnonymousInactiveif a poker, i like the revenue share also.
September 13, 2005 at 9:13 am #672770AnonymousInactivecpa is better
September 19, 2005 at 8:20 pm #673042AnonymousInactiveI am following the plan that since I am a beginner with limited capital, I am doing majority of my sign ups as CPA in order to build some capital so I can do some more things to advertise and drive more traffic to my site.
Eventually, I will move these CPA sign up banners out and put more revenue sharing sign up banners in their place.
Just depends on what your goals are I guess. If you want a quick buck, or have a long term goal, go with CPA. If you have cash to spend and can wait a little longer to see some significant profits, then go rev share.
Just my thoughts.

I hate Revenue before:
-They said your players is lifetime, but some of them were shut down or moved like happychances, netclub…All my effort gone.
-Some of my account was show me negative for more than 8 months even I send them new players every month…However I will more like Revenue now, just like one of our senior said: Get one big player will make your CPA like peanut. :hattip: And I’m so lucky, I got the players. :wavey:
