Default runtime error ? anybody any experience with them?

    Hi,

so I'm doing a non-gambling site and I follow the aff links and I keep getting these messages popping up saying "runtime error".

is there a way to turn that off? I know its due to the html not being right or something like that.

since i get these messages .. I always make sure my pages don't have them (or try).

I can't guess how many others are effected with them but often times they literally force me to have to hit control+alt+del and shut down the page that way ... which usually results in the rest of my windows closing too.

its not the end of the world but I guarantee anybody who's having this happen to them isn't going to be buying or joining anything.

what I'm wondering is how many others (if any) see this happen to them?

is there a way to turn it off?

thanks in advance for your replies.

    S.

I get a similar message in my HTML editor sometimes and it's always a failed javascript module.

However when loading the page with an MS-IE6.0 browser the page loads OK (apart from the Javascript that failed) and looks ok.

    What browser are you using?
What is a sample page URL ? (I could take a quick look).

Other than that I can't help much ...

    Thanks G!

You've rattled loose a brain cell or two (who knew there were any left?) and now I remember I get that message whenever I have the jackpot tickers on my pages and i forget to add the part that goes inbetween the tags but I have added the part into the body.

I bet that's what the deal is.

let that be a lesson to you kids. A young life of debauchery and casual sex may be a lot of fun and leave you with a lot of wonderful memories in your old age to help pass the time but you risk not remembering such little details as the afore mentioned.

*to Bernie (because hes on the west coast so I know he'll understand) I was tempted to finish this post with "and remember ... only you can prevent forest fires" ... but I was afraid it my strange sense of humor might be going just a bit too far. ...

Runtime errors point to a problem with a database loading. So if this site you´re surfing is served dynamically then that could be a reason for the runtime errors. It can be caused by Javascript as well though.
