Who Says Canada is Cold
Can't sleep, it's too damn hot so I thought I would clear up a common misconception that Canada is cold.
Was on a weekend fishing trip in an area called Spences Bridge in BC on Saturday and they hit Canadian record breaking temperatures. It got up to 46.9 celcius, and our vehicle outside temp gauge confirmed this. For you non-metric folks, that's 116.4 farenheit - ouch!
Whats just as crazy, the temperature did not get below 100 farenheir until almost 10:30pm at night!
With these crazy temps we headed home out on our 5 hour drive back to the coast. This offered only marginal relief - it's hitting 102 farenheit.
Isn't Canada suppose to be cold? I am wishing this was true right now.
Hope the rest of you aren't going through a major heat wave - it sucks. -

We've been spending our days at the beach, it's so hot.
I have a skid full of new shingles up on my roof waiting for us to get cracking, but it's way too hot to put a new roof on!
I'm thinking of installing an attic fan (whole house fan) for next summer. -

Canada is a land of extremes... extreme cold in the winter and extreme hot in the summer. But the extreme hot part is usualy pretty short, before you know it it'll be freezing again.
I think the warmest it's been here in alberta is 39 celcius. Warmest I've seen it was costa rica with 43. -

Yeah, it was so hot up here in Canada, i had to take the scarf off my snowman
I've been using the same bottle of suntan lotion for 15 years, it's the original Coppertone, before they started adding numbers to the bottles
Naturally i was outside for all the hot weather, as it's only here for 3 days a year, one of my girlfriends(who is a weather girl for one of the local tv stations of course)points out that this hot weather came from Europe across the Atlantic...then, i can't remember the rest, i have a short attention span, but i remember that part
Actually the weather in Europe scares me, especially near where i was born, we had a massive heat wave a few years back that killed my grandmother and a whole bunch of other people, since nobody has air conditioners there, and just a little while ago there was massive flooding and evacuating
Strange things like these record highs in Canada happening everywhere and more frequently of late...I clipped this from one of my websites, it's a scientific explanation
The mysterious Planet X is an unknown planet currently passing through the earth's orbit. Scientists aren't quite sure what effect it will have on our planet, but they believe it will disrupt our planet in some way. This whole process is expected to last some 25 years, and the results could prove to be catastrophic
If you wanna know more, just ask, i'm totally on the ball when it comes to weird stuff -

Hey everyone,
Had to come in here and say my two cents...
Being originally from Australia, and now living here in Montreal, the weather seems to be a pretty big discussion point here...not that that is a bad thing...
I find it kind of funny everyones mentality here...when its cold, its too cold, when it's hot it's too hot! To tell you the truth I wish it was boiling here all the time...I love that, the extremes back and forth are the ones that knock you about.
I was at the pool on the weekend and one minute I would put my shirt on and the next I was diving into the pool....
having said that though...experiencing a white christmas is still exciting!
