The affected affiliates should consider a class action lawsuit against Party Gaming if things continue to go through this way. I don't have any Empire players, but those of you that stand to loose alot shouldn't go down without a fight. This is a publically traded company, so they are much more open to legal action.

I agree one can cause great damage to a publically traded company. The first question would from the press would be "how did you become so big?" the reponse " we rode on the backs of webmasters for a while, then got off by stabbing them in the back" greek39

its amazing to me that this far into the game there are still programs out there that are so short-sighted and so arrogant that they think just because they are on top today that things will always be that way.

Party has done nearly everything in its power to sabotage itself with its small-minded approach to treating those that helped (greatly) in it reaching the popularity and success it currently enjoys in such outrageous and yes, predatory manner

I know what they are thinking. They're thinking now that they've found a way around the advertising bans (the dot net thing) and the fact that they are already so big that they can afford to treat affs this way.

the very serious mistake made here is they fail to realize the power of the viral world and IMHO once they fall off the map of the 'every day recognized at the majority of portals, blogs and forums..." they will continue to see a drop off making any fall-offs up until now seem like a dip in the road.

We've all seen it happen again and again. So I don't think I need to quote examples but I'll point at the English Harbour group as one of the best examples. They literally owned the casino niche way back and seemingly were untouchable. There was not hardly a portal you could visit that didn't hit you over the head with stuff promoting CC properties. (though I can't remember if they were called CC back then)

But it happened. They more than slid down the hill. They tumbled down the mountain so far you'd need telescopes to see them. And why? Well you could blame it on them changing software, definitely a huge mistake. But that was just a slide. the tumble came later on when the stats in their aff program began to not make any logic to what seasoned affs knew had to be different .... so they dropped them. That my friends is when CC truly fell off the map.

the affiliate plan is a brilliant one designed to make richer everyone involved by its simple nature ... increased profits for affs means increased exposure which means increased profits for the sponsor which in turn means increased profits for the aff and so on and so on. Freaking brilliant! But you gotta work the system the way it was designed and that means showing your affs as healthy a bottom line as is possible so that the system can continue to cycle.

Why can't programs see that?

There do seem to be some programs which are making a valiant effort and IMHO they are being rewarded accordingly. Especially over the long haul because they are building loyalty.

I think Wagershare is a great example of this. I was seriously down on them for a time (for good reason IMO) but although I bitched and threatened, I never took them down and the reason for that being ... that IMO they had earned the right to deserve my trying to get thru a bad time with them instead of just jumping ship.

Programs which always make disappointing bottom lines or worse, that suck all the time; will not enjoy such courtesy. They will be quicker to get critism, slower to be defended and basically get what they paid for; and in the long run will end up like most the programs that got constant complaints about bottom line or incorrect stats. They shriveled up and maybe not died, but when is the last time you saw a banner for EH on a casino portal's front page? That's got to hurt on so many levels because along with the loss of traffic comes loss of credibility by virtue that if people see your name around enough, you become associated with being reputable and knowledgeable in that field. Same goes for lack of exposure. Especially if at one time you were big because people start saying what I'm say. .... hey those guys used to be everywhere and now they're gone. Did they go out of biz? Did they get caught cheating? why the disapearance then?
We've seen these programs go thru aff manager after aff manager and then we stop hearing from them at all. why do you think that is? It couldn't be because they stopped making money shortly after they stopped having anybody to cheat? That the aff managers saw the writing on the wall and started looking for greener pastures before the brown spots in their current pasture started jumping up and hitting the fan. Any chance any of that makes perfect sense?

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Do sponsors think that saying doesn't apply to our niche? So it would seem.

its one thing to be so greedy you cut corners and nearly push the limits of smart business all the time anyway but its another to be so damn greedy you let it force you into making self destructive moves which are so obvious... at least to everyone but the person making them.

why?..............whhhhhhhy?
