Anyone Using Google Adwords?

voodooman asked 3 years ago
Despite the fact that they are no longer “supposedly” running online casino ads, there are plenty.

Does anyone here run Adwords and, if so, how do you get around Goggle allowing these sites ?

Google will allow Gambling related ads as long as there are no links to gambling web sites. Meaning places that you can actually deposit money. It seems that most go with the strategy of downloading an eBook or signing up for an eNewsletter, then directing users to the sites. Seems like it would be difficult to get a good ROI this way, but maybe it works for some.

A little off topic but I can’t stand Google’s adword, adsense programs. It provides a lauching pad for scam artists. greek39

Thanks webber–>

I believe you are correct, for the most part, however I believe I can show several examples of sites that do have direct casino downloads.

On the other hand, what do you think of using the type of page you mentioned to gather email addresses and then direct market to thos who have signed up for your ebook, or gambling tips or whatever? This would seem to be to be a good way to generate qualified leads, fast?

I’ve thought about the same strategy in the past and honestly havent’ found the time to put it together. However, I do have some experience with Adwords in non-gambling related industries and I can tell you the conversion rates are not extremely high. This is why I question the ROI of this strategy. You spend $1.00 per click and have 1 of 4 people submit their email. Then you send out a newsletter where 1 of 8 people actually click through to a casino. Then of those people hopefully 1 in 5 deposit money and gamble more than 20 bucks. This is just conjecture, but in this example, you would be paying over $100 to get one person to be a real money player under you. Again this is just an example, depending on your offer, it could work out for you. Definitely give it a shot and let us know how it works.

I do not know specifically about “adwords” but..

My app was denied by google adsence, BUT when I read the rules .. it said you don’t need to sign up for multiple accounts, once you have an account on 1 site, you can just use the same code on all sites and content will be auto matched. Sooo It is possible that the gambling sites that have this feature, signed up a non gambling site first.

Also.. here’s a funny quote (made me laugh anyway..)

Issues:

– Gambling-related content

Further detail:

Gambling-related content: Google believes strongly in the freedom of
expression and offers broad access to content across the web.
without
censoring
search results However,. Google policy does not permit the
placement of Google ads on sites with gambling-, casino-, or
lottery-related contentWe have found your site to contain content of
this nature. Please review our policies
(https://www.google.com/adsense/policies?hl=en_US) for a complete list
of site content not allowed on web pages.

So ummm.. we belive in it, we just dont allow it

I find that buying bulk traffic does just as well and is cheaper overall.

Google are WELL aware of the fact that they allow online casino ads… for their ‘friends’.
