Thank goodness Tradal is gone off my affiliate list. I'm not going to promote noble or CD right now. I'm "lucky" in the sense that I only have one site to update but Tradal has not had the best reputation around these boards. With their lackluster tracking system, I never knew for sure whether I actually had players there or not. Nowhere near the tracking abilities offered by Income access or... well, anywhere. The rep that I had at Tradal was nice but after hearing about all the stuff tradal pulled and having to update all my trackers from Empirepoker.com to ep.com, I was already trying to find a replacement. I guess this just gets me off my tuckus and gets me moving on finding someone better. Good luck to everyone that this truly effects.

i only did empire on CPA, but i'm pretty amazed that tradal would sell of their player base and then claim that they don't owe your affiliate share of the money for your players. 69000 active players for $250 million, or about $3500 per player it would seem they should being paying the affilaites their share for their active players.

Casino Rewards migrated the player base when they bought Captain Cooks, and I bet Wager Junction plans to migrate the players that came with their new acquisitions.
Party has no intention of migrating player bases, not even those of their own casinos.
The industry is contracting, and also just coming off age, and I predict many more mergers and aquisitions in the very near future.
We are heading for a lot more consolidation in this industry, this time next year the number of programs will have shriveled a lot.
Are we looking at losing all we have worked for all these years - our player base?
I am getting very, very alarmed. Casino Pays didn't migrate the players from Partnerpage either.
Will we be left behind with empty hands and nothing to show for years of work?
There are programs who care about their affiliates and will migrate the players, and there are those that don't.
The ones of us who stand to lose the most over the next year are the ones who send players to those programs that will not migrate players because they could really care less about individual affs. They will settle with the largest of affiliates and stiff the rest of us.
Not acceptable!

As soon as I got that email, I emailed Hemant, our rep, and he sent me the new Empire trackers right away. I suggest anyone that hasn't received their new Empire trackers to contact your rep, you should get them immediately.
Also THRILLED that Party took over Empire!!!!Ellen

Well i don't blame party poker, they bought the players, from empire, just like a CPA deal, now the master affiliate tradal/empire/cd/ whatever they are should closed out the sold programs by paying the affiliates.
again, i'm owed nothing from empire, just the way it looks to me. - 02-18-2006 02:56 AM #18
But you just lost every player that you ever referred to Empire in the past. Party took these players and moved them to the "house" account -- you will no longer receive any residual income from your past referrals to Empire.

Guys, this is only the beginning.
Last time I predicted a big problem I was right. After the second program renegged on the T&C's we signed under, I warned that if we let it slide it would become the status quo. We let it go, and 5 more programs did the same, including large ones, and it took a lot of head butting and perseverance to get things back to normal.
I am now raising a big fat red flag again. This is a terrible precedent, and number 2 already.
We are heading for a year of consolidations, buy outs and take overs, I am absolutely positive. It is already happening all around us. Some programs are doing this the right way and mapping players over. Look at Casino Rewards and Cooks.
Some are stealing our player bases. Affiliate claims must be considered in the purchase negotiations. They were not in this case. They were not in Partnerpage's case.
One year from now we could stand here stripped of the player bases we worked so hard to build up all these years. It is what every affiliate needs to make it - building up a player base. It is our security blanket, our only claim to the future.
Not only that, we were promised "life long" player mapping, not until people decide to merge and totally forget to include affiliate claims in their negotiations. Once again, affiliate contracts are nil and void and cannot be trusted.
There will be a lot more mergers, and we have to be smart and look out for ourselves. If we keep sending players to known thieves, we will suffer the same thing over and over. And all the other programs will follow suit since there is nothing negative that happens when you steal player bases.
We need to pay good attention here! This is our future!
